One night, Dax told Jodie they would be going out on a clear, lovely night, but he never said where it was they were going or what they would be doing. She followed his lead until they got to a gorge overlooking a lake.
The view was magnificent, the sight so exquisite she was amazed as the rays of the moon lingered on the lake, as if creating a passage to another blissful life.
He laid a blanket on the green grass and they both curled up under the night sky. He started kissing and caressing her, whispering sensuous words into her ear, looking into her gorgeous hazel eyes, and stroking her long brown hair. ‘I’m scared,’ she muttered.
‘Me too, but I love you,’ Dax replied.
